Letter to Ning , concerning Ning charging for services from May 2010

Hi, I run a non-profit incentive through the Ning platform, to basically
assist in the transformation of Africa and it's people, getting
companies & individual involved to provide technologies which will
help break the digital divide, and ultimately assist in the alleviation
of poverty and disease.

I do not earn a cent of income from this, and it has a huge impact on sociey in and impoverished Africa.

How could Ning, run a free social network, and then out of the blue state
they are going to charge? How would Ning approach the demographics, of
what is non-profit and profit run organisations, which have a good
cause, and who make an impact in our world?

Social network is in the spirit of co-creation, to build a common purpose. Jesus even said
"the poor will always be with us". Why provide a service when not
acknowledging this, they will always be there, and social networking
provides a platform to alleviate this, through common purpose.

I also, sincerely hope and pray that you reconsider your strategy, and
really see that the power of transformation is through the people.

Yours Sincerely

Ian Anderson
